DRILLER’S HELPER

Basic Job Function: Responsible for assisting with drilling function and performing maintenance of equipment.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with operation of drilling rig, and support equipment effectively.

Assists in loading and unloading equipment.

Assist on the working floor – normal drilling procedures.

Mix mud for pit.

Follow all safety regulations.

Keep equipment and location clean and orderly.

Understand, select and work with hand tools.

Perform assigned equipment maintenance.

Perform material inventory as assigned.

Drive support vehicles when required.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Willing to travel and stay out of town frequently.

Enjoy outside work.

Must be able to dead lift 80 to 100 pounds overhead throughout the daily shift.

Must have valid driver’s license, all necessary
special licensing requirements and all special permits (CDL).

Ability to learn and move up.

Willingness to work weekends.

Must be punctual and dependable.

Must be able to write legibly.

Must be mechanically inclined.

Must have ability to follow instructions.

Must meet all physical requirements and excellent health.

Must be able to work on a team.

Should have basic math skills.

Must have dependable transportation and phone.

Must have good customer relations skills.
