DRILLER

Basic Job Function: Construct high quality water wells, supervise crews and have a working knowledge of water well construction. Work with clients to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate and maintain drilling equipment to profitably and safely complete projects.

Supervise and motivate crew.

Coordinate activities and communicate with office/owner/engineer.

Order required supplies and maintain inventories.

Generate quality reports and data (daily logs, timesheets, payroll, inventory charge outs, receipts, etc.).

Administrate safety policies to assure a safe workplace.

Train new employees.

Anticipate and resolve technical and people related problems.

Project a positive SWP&D image to client and community.

SPECIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

High school education or equivalent.

Five years experience.

Must be able to dead lift 80 to 100 pounds
overhead throughout the daily shift

State driller’s license.

Driver’s license and appropriate D.O.T., C.D.L. licenses.

Excellent health and meet all physical requirements.

Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills.

Willingness to travel, work long hours and spend time away from home.

Must enjoy outside work.

Must be able to work well on a team.

Must be dependable.

Must be mechanically inclined.

Must have basic math skills.

Must have welding experience.

Must be able to write legibly.
